The workshop addressed important points to improve academic performance, including the concept of mind mapping, a powerful technology for visualizing information and enhancing learning and information retention.

The trainer addressed the types of intelligence and responsibilities of the right and left hemispheres of the brain and how they affect learning and problem solving, in addition to the skill of speed reading to help individuals process information more efficiently.

The seminar covered key points related to the development of MVP and explained its importance in the startup ecosystem with a focus on its core features and functions.

The team of the Faculty of Law and Political and Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University was crowned the title of the "Mini Football" championship for the first branches, which concluded on Tuesday evening, July 4, 2023 at the stadiums of the sports complex in Rafic Hariri University City – Hadath.

The Faculty of Law team defeated its counterpart in the Faculty of Science 3-1 (first half 1-1) in the enthusiastic final match that brought them together under the leadership of referee Ahmed Rammal and the assistant of Dani Naanou.

After Jawad Al-Mohammed opened the scoring for Science in the fifth minute, Hussein Deeb equalized the score in the eighth minute, then strengthened it in the 36th minute (2-1), and Ammar Hariri settled the situation for rights in the 38th minute (3-1).

The members of the two teams received their medals from the official of the game of "mini football" and the university team Mustafa Ismail and coach Hussein Issa., then Ismail handed over the championship cup to the Faculty of Law team that celebrated the occasion.

The Faculty of Law team was represented by: Ahmed Hammoud (goalkeeper), Ammar Hariri, Hussein Deeb, Abbas Gharibeh, Muhammad Ali Al-Moussawi, Sami Khazal and Ali Muhammad Muhaisen. Coach Hassan Ayoub.

The Faculty of Science team was represented by: Ibrahim Salama and Jad Ahmadiyya (goalkeeper), Abbas Karim, Muhammad Yassin, Jawad Al-Muhammad, Khalil Hamia, Muhammad Sabra, Ahmed Nasser Al-Din and Mustafa Taha. Trainer: Abdul Karim Fakih.

The "Mini Football" championship for the first branches was launched last May with the participation of 12 teams. The semi-finals saw Science beat Media 1-2, and Rights beat Education.

The Center for Careers, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Lebanese University (Centre MINE), in cooperation with GIL North, organized a webinar entitled "Accounting Management for SMEs", presented by Mr. Ibrahim Hammoud, Accountant and Business Mentor.

Mr. Hammoud highlighted the role of accounting management for SMEs, noting that a well-structured accounting system enables companies to make informed financial decisions and monitor cash flow.

The seminar also discussed key strategies for effective accounting management and provided practical advice for implementing strong accounting practices such as proper bookkeeping, timely financial reporting and proactive budgeting.

Ms. Boustani noted that a well-designed plan facilitates efficient resource allocation, enhances team collaboration and improves decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

During the seminar, Mr. Al-Sabaa addressed several key points, most notably the basics of support and resistance, the difference between a bear market and a bull market, different types of charts and the ratio of risks and rewards.

The workshop addressed the challenges faced by fresh graduates in the job market, and provided valuable advice on how to reformulate these challenges and thrive in the new situation.

Mr. Muradian stressed the need for fresh graduates to take a proactive approach to job search and develop resilience in the face of difficulties, and stressed the importance of identifying skills and building relationships with industry professionals to increase employment opportunities and gain valuable insights into the labor market.

Student Ghada Saad, from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture – First Branch at the Lebanese University, won first place for the best graduation project in architecture within the Chadirji Award for Architecture Students in Lebanon in its twenty-third edition.

During a ceremony hosted by the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut, 17 projects participating in the award were presented to architecture students graduating in 2022 from (Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture / Lebanese University, Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts/University of Balamand, Lebanese American University, American University of Beirut, Beirut Arab University, Holy Spirit University - Kaslik, Notre Dame University, Medina University and University of Venice), where the students presented their projects in front of a specialized jury and in the presence of a group of deans of faculties of architecture and university professors. and engineers and students.

According to the results of the judging, student Ghada Saad won the first prize for her project related to "Reformulating the Concept of Social Housing in Palestinian Communities / Residential Complex in Al-Sikka neighborhood in Sidon.

Student Jason Elie Qurban (Faculty of Arts – Second Branch) and Marianne Claude Habib (Faculty of Arts – Fourth Branch) received a special praise and mention from the jury for their projects:

It is noteworthy that the Chadirji Award (established in 2000) aims to stimulate dialogue and discussion about architecture and reward a graduate with a clear and critical architectural vision, provided that his project is innovative and notes the specificity of the place and the importance of architecture as a means to develop society and establish its values and moral foundations.

During the session, Mr. Yousef talked about the importance of presentation skills, the different types of presentations, the reasons why we make presentations, and discussed the qualities of a good presenter including confidence, clarity and the ability to communicate with the audience.

The workshop emphasized that good health and well-being is the foundation of a happy and productive life, and provided tips and guidance on the different ways we can maintain good health such as regular exercise, balanced diet, stress management and getting enough sleep.

The workshop provided valuable information on how to deal with difficult situations in a positive way.

The Center for Careers, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Lebanese University (Centre MINE) organized a webinar entitled "Introduction to Data Analysis" presented by Mr. Reda Ayyash, an entrepreneur and consultant specialized in business intelligence.

The seminar aimed to introduce participants to the core features and functions of Tableau, a popular data analytics tool used by professionals in various industries.

Mr. Ayyash began the seminar by discussing how to connect to data sources, navigate the tableau interface, build interactive dashboards, in addition to how to link the tableau to different data sources, create visualizations and analyze data using different charts and graphs.

The seminar concluded with some demonstrations on how to create interactive dashboards that allow users to explore data and gain ideas quickly.

Lebanese University promotes substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. In this sense, the university host events that are open to the general public, among those are public lectures, community educational events.

As part of its educational and national mission, the events at LU, which is a public university are open to the general public.


The activities of the Center for Educational Studies and Research at the Faculty of Education for Uncle 2018-2019 can be summarized as follows: 

Launch of the Digital Journal of Educational Research (September 2019). 

The ETALEB project, funded by the European Union and ERASMUS +, aims to improve the educational performance of the Lebanese University (http://www.etaleb.org/home). The E-Taleb (Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Lebanese Universities) project is a three-year, co-funded project of the European Union's Erasmus + program, which was launched in February 2016. Aims to achieve excellence in Lebanese higher education institutions through the development of the teaching and learning system and processes. 

The project comprises eight Lebanese universities, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, which is the coordinator of the project, the Lebanese University, the Arab League, the University of Balamand, the Lebanese American University, the University of Jinan, the Holy Family University, the University of Medina, as well as the Directorate General of Higher Education. It also comprises the following European institutions and universities: University of Roehampton UK, University of Karlsruhe Germany, Claude Bernard Lyon University-1 France, Evalagh Foundation - Germany, Education Development and Staff Association SEDA UK.- Hey. 

The project has three main objectives: 

With regard to the first objective, namely the development of the Lebanese Framework for Professional Standards for Education and Learning Support (LBPSF), it has been fully completed, accompanied by a detailed guidance document. .org). 

The Lebanese University, specifically the Faculties of Education, Engineering and Pharmacy, is a key partner in this project and has been actively and intensively involved in all its phases. The Faculty of Engineering has started to introduce the faculty members of the faculty to the Lebanese Professional Standards Framework (LBPSF). 

The following activities are accessible to the general public.

The Lebanese University celebrated the World Optometry Day on March 18, 2019, with participation the Department of Optics & Optometry of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1). 

 

The Department of Ergotherapy of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) held a symposium entitled "Success Stories in the Field of Occupational Therapy" hosting four formers graduated ergo therapists. 

The Lebanese University - Faculty of Public Health (Branch 5) held a scientific day on "Aging & Cognitive Health" in cooperation with the Physical Therapists Association on March 22, 2019.

The Departments of Midwifery and Ergotherapy of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) held a conference on mental health (5/4/2019). The conference aimed at raising awareness about the importance of mental health in the Lebanese society, to deal with daily life stress and maintain a balance between practical and family life to face any possible depression that could lead to risks of addiction or suicide.

The Department of Laboratory Sciences of the Lebanese University – Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) organized a scientific activity on May 3, 2019 on the occasion of the International Medical Laboratory Science Day and the International Medical Laboratory Professionals Week. 

7. Conference on "Health Systems" in Engineering  

The Faculty of Engineering - First Branch of the Lebanese University hosted a lecture on the introduction of the latest health systems and was given by GEBERIT in cooperation with the "Zumorli" company (25/1/2019). The lecture, which was organized under the auspices of the College Director Dr. Adel Hallaq, was attended by Eng. Lina Al-Hajj Hussein from the "Zumorli Company" and Mr. Bassam Keyrouz from GEBERIT Company - Lebanon and Mr. Richard Pierre from the same company in Switzerland.

The Lebanese University - Faculty of Engineering (Ras Maska Campus) was hosted on Saturday, February 16, 2019, the year’s largest event, during which students will compete for a prize of $250,000 in seed funding and a place at the Regionals. Hult Prize is one of the most important students’ competitions worldwide. Each year, the Hult Prize Foundation declares a challenge and mobilizes students from around the world to solve it. This year, (13th February 2019) Hult Prize’s concerns are directed towards Youth Unemployment and the challenge is to create a venture that provides 10,000 meaningful jobs for youth in the next decade. Annual events of the Science 

Under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the National Commission for Science and Research, development he sixteenth annual events of the Science Match 2019 with the participation of about 170 schools, 550 young Lebanese inventors and innovators and more than 200 scientific projects and innovations. The Lebanese University organized the workshop on "Handling DNS Abuse and Misuse”.  


The Lebanese University - Faculty of Sciences (Branch 1) organized to the first Computer Science Career Expo 2019 (CSCE’19). The event is organized under the patronage of HE Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Mohamad Fneich. The event had to aim to bring for real cooperation and partnership between the graduates in Computer Science and the companies operating in this field. It also gives IT students an opportunity to learn about how to conduct interviews with companies and write CVs. (March 14, 2019).
